At the foot of Greenwich Park, among an ensemble of historic buildings that were once the Royal Naval College, sits De Vere Devonport House. Steeped in maritime history, this red-bricked Georgian building with its tall white columns, bold lines and structural symmetry started life in 1783 as a school building for Greenwich Hospital.

Sitting in a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the hotel brings together a wealth of original features along with a modern style to deliver an inspiring setting for meetings, events, weddings and training.

Outside the maritime history continues with the pretty hotel gardens featuring a small cemetery where Admiral Hardy, flag captain to Admiral Lord Nelson is buried; whilst the National Maritime Museums and gardens are found directly next door and the Cutty Sark just minutes’ walk away.

Just 6 miles away, Greenwich enjoys several options for travel into London. There are two stations for the Docklands Light Railway: Greenwich Station and Cutty Sark whilst the Jubilee line runs through North Greenwich tube station. You can also travel by overland train into Cannon Street and London Bridge stations.

Several bus routes run through Greenwich including the 188 from Russell Square, and a number of river boat services run from Greenwich Pier with stops including Tower Millennium and Canary Wharf piers. Read our local companion guide to discover what you can do in the surrounding area.

Free, superfast Wi-Fi with a maximum bandwidth of 100Mb is available throughout the hotel.
